Info on acquired immune deficiency syndrome & how to stay safe?

The Guy I like has it and I was just curious on how to be safe. Safe Sex classes here totally bomb, they don't even discuss it. So I'm just curious at first, I was thinking about just letting him give it to me. But now I'm second guessing that, so what are some ways to be safe?
