I am a 17 year female and my dad wants me to pay rent?

Maybe your Father is finding it hard to pay the bills, my best friend works part time and goes to school and has to give most of her paycheck to her mother to help keep the house she lives in because her and her mother dont have much money so she helps contribute to the bills..ask your dad if hes having trouble with paying some bills...if so give him some of your paycheck to help out..otherwise you wont have anywhere to live..its just how life is for some people, my friend hates doing it , but it's something that she knows needs to be paid off..she doesnt want her mom to get into debt because that means even more stress for her
