Super heavy period. ?

I'm 18 years old and I've had my period for 7 years. And it so heavy I wear a pad and a tampon and I have to change my tampon ever hour and when I use jumbo its about two hours. And I have cramps so bad I can't move. I have iron deficiency anemia. I'm going to the doctor soon I just wanna know if there is some thing I can do til then.
