Why is China so afraid of the media that they attack journalists?

These reporters you talk of are international reporters, not from one nation but from nations all over the world. These actions that you speak of that are committed against this group of reporters is also committed against them in many other nations, mainly in North Africa and the Middle East by governments that are afraid of their people. These governments stay in power by controlling the information the people of their nations are allowed to receive. Egypt let the information get out of control and their leader fell. The rulers of China seen this and controlled the information the Chinese people were able to receive about the problems in Egypt. In China their Constitution gives them the right to peacefully assemble but their rulers take this away because they see it as a threat to their power and way of life. Knowledge is power and the rulers will do everything in their power to keep the Chinese people from having any knowledge other than what is allowed by the rulers. This includes the use of police and or the military. The rulers are destroying the Chinese nations ability to feed itself and they know they will have to do something soon about this. With a billion and a half people they could care less if they must do away with a few hundred thousand or more.
