sometimes we are told of a disease that we have from our doctors and we do not want to accept it. It will eventually sink in and you will learn how to live with it, most of what you have said sounds like you have fibromyalgia. Get a second opinion from another doctor to run more tests on you but then again there goes the insurance money. My friend has fibromyalgia and she is on disability after fighting and getting a lawyer. I haven't really researched fibromyalgia but I am sure it's a disease associated with a lot of pain in the bones. I am young and was told I have to be on high blood pressure meds and didn't want to accept it. I was put on lisinopril and now I am suffering from a right frozen shoulder, a side effect from lisinopril. I read up on frozen shoulder and it's common in people 50 and up. I am no where near 50 so I too am wondering why am I suffering from this condition and the high blood pressure. I saw on tv today a kid suffering from diabetes when he was just 2 years old. yes, this is an iron deficiency. but also a vitamin B12 deficiency. if you don't have enough vitamin B12 or folic acid, you can get headaches. iron and the B-vitamins usually need eachother to get absorbed into the body. so in other words, if you're missing one of them (iron or a B vitamin) you will be deficient in some other b vitamins as well!! you might want to get your iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and vitamin B5 levels checked up by the doctor/nurse. they will take a blood test to see if you're low in any of them. also, a deficiency in biotin, iron, zinc, and a lack of protein can cause hair loss.

I'm a 13 year old boy, 6'2, and I have a rather "scrawny appearance", if you will. For the past nine months I've been going to a gym with a personal trainer two to three times a week, and my measurements barely changed. My diet on average consists of about 90-100 grams of protien a day, and I'm beginning to question if that's an adequate amount. My trainer told me that I should eat about 1.5 times my body weight, which is about 220 grams of protien a day, and I simply don't have enough food to make up for that amount. I also used to be dehydrated for the first 8 months of my training because I used to neglect my "daily water intake". Could dehydration be the problem, or not enough protien? Will 90 grams of protien daily ever make atleast some subtle changes, now that I'm more hydrated?

Why do I wake up tired and weak on a daily basis?

On almost a daily basis, I wake up feeling very drained regardless of how much sleep I get. My body is weak and I need to get breakfast ASAP. I have had episodes in the past where I became so light-headed that I "fainted"; by this I mean, I dropped to the floor and blacked out but was still fully conscious. It lasted about 30 seconds and happened to me twice -- hasn't happened for over a year but I still wake up a bit lightheaded. I am a vegetarian so I am wondering if the cause could be iron deficiency (I do eat fish on occasion so I guess you could call me a "pescaterian"). I try to eat healthy and take a multi-vitamin to replenish anything I might be lacking in my diet but maybe I need to be taking iron on its own? Or maybe it is something more serious. Both my grandfather and grandmother had diabetes so that has me really freaked out although, I don't see why I would have it this young, I'm only 23. Any insight would be really helpful. I will eventually visit the doctor for this but it costs me $120 just to walk into his office so I can't go immediately. :)

Why am i always so tired?

I've got iron deficiency and polycystic ovaries, but I cant stop being so tired. I'm only 18, so people think I'm crazy when we're out and I'm standing in a club yawning! Agreements signed on my family's story had expired without extensions being added.?

I have sent a formal letter to the filmmakers withdrawing the agreement but they say they still have the rights to the story and will continue with the project. My concern is that they are using my story without a valid agreement. The agreement was signed in 1996 to produce a documentary film but nothing has been done since. There is no sight of a completion date. The agreement has expired on three occasions and had not been extended. When I complained that it was taking too long to make the film they agreed to add an addendum stating that If the film was not completed within nine months of signing date that I would have the right to contact other filmmakers interested in the project. But they have now said that I cannot do this as it would complicate the work they have already done even though they had agreed I could. I'm 17, and I have fair skin. Today I went on this two hour boat cruise on a river. It was in the 70s and mostly cloudy. I used sunscreen on my arms and neck with SPF 50, and in the morning I used facial moisturizer that has SPF 15, so I thought I'd be ok. My arms didn't get burned, but my face got burned pretty badly, along with the top of my head where my hair parts. Strange problem with my snake?

Iv had my red tail boa for nine moths and sincd I bought her she has never been active or a good eater, she used to be freindly at least but not anymore, in the past few months I've noticed her bones we're petuding on her sides in a few places. I took her to a reptile expert he suggested she was just doing it herself because they seemed to go away when she changed positions, now she is bony every where and when she bends her bones pop and crackle like popping nuckles., I used to just feel it but now I they are audible, if I give her body a slighr pul and bend I can feel be bones poping all the way down, this seems to give her more mobility. I had lost my son not to long ago from brain cancer and always believed that he would go to heaven when he died. He was a great person. One day last month I had been lying in bed thinking about him when I suddenly became paralized and found myself outside of my body and facing a bright light. Slowly the darkness turned into fire and I had seen the disfigured face of my son shouting in agonizing pain as grotesque creatures surrounded him tearing the burning flesh from his body. I began crying "No! No! What's happening, when I looked up above me and saw the face of Christ who spoke to me these words. "This is what happens when a person rejects me and the torment your son is in will only grow exponentially worse throughout eternity!!! You may think your son's good deeds should have been enough to save his soul though the truth is that having blind obedience towards me is one and only thing that truly matters!! It is too late for your son had his chance!!: I was absolutely mortified and asked the lord to give him one more chance since I knew that the lord is all powerfull and mercifull. The lord told me that saving the lost souls in hell is one thing he cannot do and they deseve every last bit of the eternal torment they suffer. I have been a horrible wreck since this experience though the good news is I have given my life to Christ and realize how much he truly loves us. He died for us on the cross so we do not have to spend an eternity in hell with my son. Folks, there really is no excuse for not accepting Jesus regardless of your religion, mental deficiency, or fact that you may have never heard of him for it states in the bible that Christ is the only way to God.

Dog seizure! what to do?

Yes, I have experience with this. I lost my 16 year, 3 month old Maltese last fall. A year earlier she began having seizures. Vet thought it was likely a brain tumor. Seizures are the major symptom of a brain tumor. Wouldn't know for sure unless we had CAT scan or MRI done. Neither of which really could be done because she would have needed anesthesia to keep her still and with her age and heart murmur (that she had for several years) it wasn't likely that she would come out of the anesthesia. So we went on the very good assumption it was a brain tumor. X-rays showed she had fluid in her lungs which resulted in congestive heart failure. My vet - who we had been seeing for years and I trusted completely - put her on a regimen of meds. Heart medication, med for the lung fluid and a med for seizures. Nothing can be done for the brain tumor except hope it's slow growing. Every once in a while she would do the things you described but those episodes wouldn't last that long and she would be back to her regular self. And I tried some things to prove she had gone deaf as well. She had a very good quality of life - with a seizure only once in a while - for the next 13 months. We didn't walk any more and she became quieter but she was doing the 4 things the vet said were important to judge quality of life. Eat, drink, pee and poop. She got around on her own around the house - although slept a lot. She was aware of things going on - just didn't take part much. Was content with being held - didn't have to chase those dang squirrels any more. After a year - she took a turn for the worst. Stopped eating and couldn't control her bowels and bladder. After 10 days of trying to get her to eat anything - I tried hamburger, roast, steak, rice, baby food - the only thing she would take was a little water - it seemed she was tired of it all and we decided it was time to let her go. Hardest thing I ever, ever had to do. Anyway, my point is - could be a brain tumor and there are meds to control seizures. And hopefully the other things might slowly come back to normal. If not - you will need to judge her quality of life and possibly make the decision to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge. My heart goes out to you because after all the years and memories - it is the most gut-wrenching thing. I lost my Savannah last September after 16 years, 3 months and 10 days of sleeping with her every night. Having her by my side every day. God bless you and your little dog.

Hi, Im 14 and have been having prolonged periods for nearly 2 years now. They last months from time to time. My mother thinks it's normal because I won't have a period for 3 months then my period will last for months. She said it's because I'm a teen and they'll get normal as I get older. I think she's wrong because this can't be healthy and she won't take me to the doctor. But I believe I've developed anemia. I even have pica where I eat soap and she knows this but still won't take me to the doctor. Today I am feeling horrible and my period has been going on for 3 weeks now. I think you should talk to him and tell him how much his behaviour is upsettig you. I understand how frustrating OCD can be; I have it myself- i constantly wash my hands, have to check things various times and i overthink things so much to the point it drives me insane. i know many other people who had OCD, all in different forms for instance my mother has OCD about cleaning and tidiness and it pisses me off so much!! I think everyone has OCD, but in different forms. I think you should talk to him, tell him how upset you are and maybe suggest he go to cognitive behavioural therapy for his OCD, I havent tried it, but I hear it helps. LAST question about vitamin A?

I've done some research and even consulted a physician about the recommended daily intake of Vitamin A. I'm not big on carrots, fish, milk and liver, so I know a supplement would be a good help. But my problem is some websites say that its dangerous to go over 5,000IU a day, while others say 10,000. This is my problem. I don't have any deficiencies so I bought a bottle of Vitamin A with the supply of 5,000IU. Is this good? Or should I go down to 3,000IU instead? I have numb patches of skin on my leg and on my arm and the feeling hasn't come back in days what should I do?

I have been using burning hot water sometimes on my arms as part of my OCD but I am trying very hard to stop, I did for a while but now I have started back up again, but am now turning on the cold with the hot, sometimes I don't feel like turning it on, and I wash my hands with two kinds of soap which is regular bar and then dish soap, I do this several times a day. Anyway, I also noticed a patch of skin on my leg that is starting to go numb as well and I haven't been using and hot water on it other than warm water in the shower. At first for my arm I thought that it was just because I have been sleeping on it but usually when I loose circulation the feeling returns with a day or two, it has been almost a week and the felling hasn't returned to the top part of my wrist on my arm. Not sure what to do, please help. My friend thinks that it could be caused by a vitamin b deficiency, I do have a diagnosis of b12 deficiency but I don't know if that would have anything to do with it. On the inside of the elbow joint of my arms I have rashes from excessive hand washing and to treat the dry skin I used neosporin could that have affected it i anyway? I also still have a bit of numbness on the inside of my thighs from my chemical burns which were from trying to clean my legs which I now realize was wrong and stopped almost two weeks ago but thous have almost completely healed after I started using neosporin on them as well but are still purple, There is also most of the time dried soap on my legs but not arms from trying to clean my self as part of my ritual. Hello, I am having some odd symptoms such as sore breasts, slight period like cramps, headaches, and fatigue. I think these may be early pregnancy symptoms but I am not sure. I have been taking the birth control sprintex for two years and never had these symptoms form it. PMS usually dose not effect me in-till 3 days before my period and its a week away right now. I am worried I could be pregnant because I was nine hours late on a pill two weeks ago. I really want to know whats going on and why I am having these symptoms.... I took a test but it said negative but I was reading the back of it and it said that its only 50% accurate 5 days before the missed period but mine is 7 days away so I am not sure. False nails and lack of vitamin D. What is causing my onycholysis?

I have been wearing false nails for about 4 months and have recently been diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency. Now I have noticed that my left pinky fingernail is separating from the nail bed at the left side of my nail and the cuticle is receding! I am a hair stylist and my hands are in water a lot; I have read that this probably is not helping the matter. Furthermore, the past couple of times I have gotten my nails done I have noticed that the cuticles (all of them, not just the one) have itched rather severely for a couple of days after receiving the service. Needless to say the nails are coming off although much to my dismay. So I would like to know is it more likely that the false nails are the cause of the onycholysis or is the lack if vitamin D to blame here?

I have a nine week old kitten who has been sneezing quite a bit. Ok sorry this will probably be long, but here it goes! I have been TTC for 2 yrs with my husband, after 6 months of nothing, I went 80 days without a period and went to see my OBGYN. He put me on Clomid to make me ovulate and low and behold we got pregnant after the first month (1yr after starting to TTC) I then miscarried at 6 weeks and 3 days, my OBGYN told me this could be normal and to just keep trying. We got pregnant again 2 months later and miscarried at 6 weeks to the day. My OBGYN then told me when I get preg agian that I was going to be using progesterone suppositories to boost my hormone levels up in an effort to keep the baby. We got preg for the 3rd time and lost again at 6 weeks 4 days! My doctor now gave me 11 different deficiency blood test and my husband and I had to go through chromosome testing. but the problem I am having is that the chromosome testing takes about 5 months to come back and it has only been a month and i am already going crazy and don't know if I can last until October to find out if we can even ever have children as a couple! I guess I am just looking for some positive feedback in regards to people whom may have gone through this and eventually had the blessing of a child. All my life I knew all I really wanted was children and now that I am married, financially stable and have a great home and life, it seems like it will never happen! I can't remember what my OBGYN told me the percentage was of couples whom can never have children due to mismatched chromosomes, and I am praying with everything that I am, that this will not be the case. But I feel like I am losing hope, I have even gotten to the point when I see or hear about someone becoming pregnant I feel hatred and unfairness, especially when they do not want children to begin with. I have white hairs at 19 years old. What should I do?

I'm 22 and had been with my ex girlfriend since 14 up until last year. She was my world, I treated like a princess and things were great up until I screwed up. I had routine blood work done recently and got a call back from the doctors office saying I need to see a hematologist . It wasn't the doctor it was her assistant. She said the doctor was referring me because my count was 4.4 and back in Dec. it was 6. something . Will prenatal vitamins help with eyebrow growth?

Don't know about those tablets but i do know what eczema is like. I get it very badly a lot. Your eyebrows will grow back if you can stop scratching the area. I use a plain moisturiser and just keep the skin from drying out. I have steroid creams but I don't use them on my face or near my eyes. The moisturiser I use is unperfumed and plain. If you put it on and it burns your skin immediately then rinse it off with warm clean water and try a different type. I don't know where you are so I don't know what products you can get. Sometimes I use the plainest Vaseline intensive care (not extra moisture, just the plain basic one) and find that it helps. Sometimes when i put it on it is fine at first but then it burns a little for five minutes of so, or if anything touches the creamed area. I think this happens just because my skin is so raw from scratching. I'm very bad for stopping the cream when it starts to feel and look better but alas you should continue even when your skin is good because otherwise within a few days it comes back. We're fifteen. Been dating nine months. Generally, we hang out three times a week. We go to thE movies all the time. While it's fun.. It's getting expensive. The mall.. We're both at a mutual agreement that it's gotten pretty boring after only a few times going. We usually spend our time at his house, though. We often watch movies or tv there. And boy, are we bored after the movie or show is over.. We rarely come to my house as we get less privacy than at his. We would just sit and talk.. But we literally have ran every subject totally dry. And I'm not exaggerating, either. I am not a summer person at all. So.. I keep us mainly indoors. Occasionally we'll go hang out qt the local school's playground or we'll just take a walk.. But in my opinion, those are better suited for fall and winter, haha. We both don't care for bowling. I enjoy ice skating, but he does not. I absolutely hate swimming.. So none of that. Where else could we go that is indoors? Or what else could we do?
